cannot reach the Web-Surface

Post by BlueSky » Mon Jun 24, 2019 1:12 pm

Hi!

I´m in Holiday and would like to switch my open spot to D-Star-Profile, that currently works on DMR-Profile. There's no DMR-Device available so I want to switch via web-surface.
I Use a Huawei 4G-Hotspot that works well. I connected it to a switch via lan cable and to the switch I connected my Macbook and the openSpot. All connected by cable. Both Devices work well and can use Internet. But I can not reach the openSPOT-Web surface by entering this: http://openspot.local or this http://openspot/ in the browser.

Why?

Thanks for solution.

Probably the router filters multicast packets. Try enabling multicast forwarding.
You can also open the web interface by entering the openSPOT's IP address into the browser. You can find the openSPOT's IP address at the DHCP clients list on the router's web interface.

I have no idea how to find a DHCP-clients list on that device. And I can't find an option for multicast packets....

The device is a HUAWEI E5770S ...

Please take a look at the router's users manual to find out where you can see the DHCP clients list on it's web interface. Another thing you can do to find the openSPOT's IP address is to enter the "net" command (without the double quotation marks) on the USB serial console.
