Connector Query in 112 and 113 not working

Post by WB5JJJ »

I like the IP Address Query (9001) it works and is extremely useful. However, I've lost the Connector Query now. It's listed the same (9001) as the IP Query, but nothing other than the IP is spoken. Also, 9998 no longer does anything in DMR.

I rolled back to 110 and the Connector Query at 9998 works as expected. And since my openSPOT is on a static IP, I don't really need the IP response. But in a new installation, it would be really great to have, but for me right now, the Connector Query is much more useful.

Just checked this with 0113, all working as expected for me.

Have you tried a reboot?

Yes, did a reboot - IP worked, Connector Query not working.
Did a factory reset - Connector Query worked, of course no IP Query in this FW version.
Reloaded 110 - Connector Query worked, again no IP Query in this FW version.
Reloaded 113 - IP worked, Connector Query not working.
Rolled back to 110 - Connector Query works again.
And I do have both 9998 and 9001 in my CodePlug.

Kinda stuck there for the time being. What are you using for each? I show in the Voice section that 9001 is for both IP and Connector Queries, but only IP comes back to me. While 9998 does nothing.

Top screenshot is from 110 while the bottom one is from 113.

Hi George,

Just change your Connector Query DMR ID: to 9998 on the settings page and everything will work as you expect.

I just tested all of the different echos, profile queries, connector queries, IP queries, and each profile change command using D-Star and DMR and they all worked for me.

The only thing my OpenSpot has different than your's in the settings is the 9998 instead of your 9001 in the Connector Query DMR ID field.

I'm using version 113.

Those were the defaults when I updated the FW. Thought about changing them, but didn't. Will do so shortly and see what happens.

I just updated to 113 and the Connector Query came up as 9998 and the IP Query came up at 9001. Tried each and BOTH worked as they should. Don't know why the Connector came up 9001 the last time, but it did.

UPDATE:

But when I "SAVE" that section, the Connector Query reverts to 9001. Now it won't even work on 9998 and as soon as I tab out of that line, it reverts to 9001. It worked ONE TIME and then no more.

OK, here's the kicker. If I change the IP Query to 9998 and hit save, that is moved to the Connector Query and 9001 is put in the IP Query and both work. But if I hit save again, they reverse and stay that way for all subsequent saves.

Thanks. At least it's a start.

George,

That sounds like a browser cache issue. Try clearing the cache and then reset the values.

Did clear the cache and still the odd save function, but at least it is now saving and working. Just a bit convoluted to do so.

There was a bug which caused the IP address query DMR ID to be saved as the connector query DMR ID when you clicked on the save button. This has been fixed, fix will be available in the next beta. Thanks for reporting!

Thanks so much. Found the workaround by accident.

I am on beta version 115 and when using DMR and I press my PTT on 9001, I get a reply with my IP address, but the last digit of the IP address is not announced by voice. The IP address is 192.168.100.110 and the voice announcement says 192.168.100.11 . The last 0 is never announced. I tried several times!

Exactly the same happens on DSTAR but at least on Dstar I can see the correct IP on the display of my Radio (TH-D74). The correct IP 192.168.100.110 appears on my Radio Display but the voice announcement say 192.168.100.11 instead of the correct one 192.168.100.110 . Again the last DIGIT is never announced.

Seems like a BUG to me.
