Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
Nobert,
Any plans on adding DSQ or DG-ID to TX on the open spot? I would like to bridge a DR-2X using IMRS but the OpenSpot will not trigger the repeater due to no DG-ID/DSQ comming from the OpenSpot.

Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
openSPOT forwards the former DSQ field, and source/destination callsigns as they are, so the DG-ID is untouched.

Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
Bridging with the OpenSpot works great with FCS/YSF/DMR when the repeater is not linked into IMRS and DG-ID TX:00 RX:00 but that is not the issue. It is not that the DSQ is not "touched" but the OS needs to TX a DG-ID/DSQ code in order to be used with IMRS.
For instance: I have a DR-2X linked here in Michigan with two other repeaters in Texas on DG-ID 99 and I bridge an OS into YSF locally to the local DR-2X repeater pair. My TX will pass into the OS since it is locally and since the OS is "open" to DSQ but when RX via the OS goes to the repeater the RX will NOT pass due to no DG-ID TX:99. You cannot have DSQ set to "OFF" or DG-ID TX:00 RX:00 when linking in IMRS. You need to use a DSQ RX code in order to select the proper repeater group that is FPP in the DR-2X.

Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
Norbert,
Were you able to follow what I was saying last?
Does the OS have the capability to add in a FW update to TX a DSQ code (00 thru 99) to provide the proper DG-ID? This will allow TX from FCS or YSF from an OS to tie into a DR-2X Fusion II repeater in bridge mode while on IMRS.

Adding new features of System Fusion is already in the TODO list.

Knew you guys would be on top of things! Keep up the good work with this fantastic product
Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
When will the open-spot be able to transmit the DG-ID
Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
openSPOT is already transmitting the DGID.

Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
it will pass the DG-ID but we need it to insert the DG-ID when used for linking repeaters.
Re: Yaesu DG-ID or DSQ
You can set the SQL code override in the openSPOT which is basically the same as the DG-ID.
