I love the idea of being able to use my laptop or desktop as a gateway. But how many people keep their computers on 7/24 these days? You would need a dedicated piece of HW to do that! Not cost efficient from my point of view.

The OS2 is so portable its great! If there was a way to put a small LiPo battery in there that could last maybe 8 hours...even better. I have to get a small case to house the OS2, battery pack and cellphone together and have that as my portable hotspot when I am outside the house. If I can hit a local repeater I dont use it, but if I want to walk around and there is no local repeater, I can wear that on my hip and have the HT in my hand.

Maybe in the 2020 new car rollout, instead of On-Star coming with the vehicle, we could order a vehicle with built in Openspot! cell moden and RF modem all in one, no more need to install a bulky mobile radio and antenna any more! But my caffeine buzz is wearing off and I am now coming back down to reality...

Sorry....LOL
