You can set an AP password on the network page.

You can set the AP password at the Wireless settings section on the Network page. The Wireless settings section has an Access point mode settings subsection. There you'll find the setting called "AP key".

You can leave the DNS server override checkbox unchecked. If you turn it on, then you can use the DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

If the LED is white then it means the openSPOT2 is in AP (access point) mode, and it is broadcasting it's own Wi-Fi network called "openSPOT2 AP". What you have to do is to connect to this Wi-Fi network using your phone/tablet/computer and do the initialization setup, which consists of 2 steps: selecting the country of operation, and then selecting the Wi-Fi network to connect.

Do you mean that your phone asks for a Wi-Fi password when you connect to the "openSPOT2 AP" network? In this case the easiest way to fix the issue is to perform a factory reset on the device, so the accidentally set AP key will be reset to default (empty - no key).
