Openspot 1 - install a SDCARD (temporary data/firmware upgrades)

Post by VE3SP »

Greetings,

I have been a use of the openspot for many years.
I have always had the issue with browser security so I clean cache cookies on "close" in the browser and because It also cleans the opensport#1.

Causing: Repeated steps to update DMR ID database

So I have been thinking to myself if I could add a SDCARD to the openspot#1 on the SMD board to store all the temporary data. A SD-CARD to store maybe even the firmware upgrades ?

I am not sure if I explained what I would hope to be able to achieve. The entire system is locked down so can an end user achieve my proposal ?

Thanks VE3SP.COM

It's not possible to add an SD card slot to the openSPOT1. Note that the ID database is stored by your browser. Try using a different browser for opening the openSPOT1's web interface which you use normally (without cleaning the cookies). Use another one for regular cookie cleans.
