Can I use SSH to log into my Openspot2 via ip connection? I am currently using a ChromeOS device (Pixelbook) to access the web interface on my local network... not sure if Pixelbooks support serial port connections, but SSH connections are supported.

If possible, what is default user, password and port address used to make the connection?

Can you please explain what you want to do? The OS2 does not have an SSH server.

At this point, nothing particular. I was just reading the docs and noticed the section on console access. I work primarily at the command prompt and changing a few of the basic parameters would be easier for me via CLI. I thought their might be SSH access via a custom port. No worries, the web interface is fine.

If you plug the OS2 into a computer it will show up as a virtual serial port (COM port in Windows terms) which you can open with terminal software.

Thanks for reply. I read in the manual about direct/serial console access, that is what prompted my question. I'll give it a try. I've only had to restart the OS2 once since I started using it... and as it turned out, rebooting wasn't necessary, it was a Brandmeister issue that caused the problem.

Debian (primarily) and ChromeOS (on a Pixelbook) are my daily driver OSs for development/network administration, SSH'ing into network devices is convenient. I only pull out the Windows notebook when I have no other options.

I use minicom under Linux daily. It's available as a Debian package.

Nice, direct connect w/minicom worked fine on my end.
