port forwarding

Post by w7ldn » Wed Mar 13, 2019 11:54 pm

I've only seen one reference to router port forwarding in the documentation. And that's for an openspot client/server thing I don't intend to use. Does this mean I don't need to worry about forwarding ports on my home router?

Modern routers handle UDP connection tracking automatically, so you don't have to care about UDP port forwarding.

Perhaps you're referring to UPnP. Which my router does not handle.

No, UPnP is a slightly different thing and is not used by the openSPOT2.
