OS1 Not working

My venerable openSPOT 1 has worked flawlessly since it first came out. About a month or so ago, it went down . I tried resetting and rebooting several times, but no change. I also tried updating the version but it won't go into boot mode.

v 1.1 00139
LED states:
ETH - occasional green blink
MODEM nothing
ACT cycling between occasional green light and fast red blinking light
STATUS blinking red

I can log in using the local IP and default password but it takes a while. All my settings are gone and when I try to save any of them, I get a "couldn't save, null settings" message, then it times out and goes back to the default login screen.

Ideas? Thanks!

Try using another browser.

Thanks for the reply. Using a different browser allowed me to log in and change a couple of settings and save them, but no connections. Status and activity lights still blinking red.

Which network and connector do you want to use? Post a screenshot of the connector settings and we'll help you find out what's wrong.

I can't get the web server on OS1 to respond, using either browser on 2 different PCs after clearing cache. I have verified that I am using the correct IP address on my network.

Please first upgrade the firmware on your device. You wrote that it is running v139, but the latest stable firmware version is v141: https://www.sharkrf.com/products/openspot-legacy/

Hi! No success so I opened the OS1 case and found the reset tab had broken off. So... with a little help from a paper clip, I was able to get the firmware updated to the 141 but so far unable to save any data to the device. I have to reboot several times to get to the login screen, clear cache and occasionally can log in. However, unable to save any of the settings. ACT and ST lights continue to flash red at me. I'm ready to give it up unless you have any other ideas. Thanks for hangin' in there.

Try using another power supply, USB and Ethernet cable.
