I love the Openspot2 but get feedback my signal is dropping

Post by martinbrossman »

I am getting feedback on d-star that my signal is dropping a lot like I am not getting into the repeater as well but I am not connecting to a repeater but the OpenSpot 2 with my Verizon iPhone as the Wi-fi hub and my ICOM ID-5100A. I get the feedback if I am all bars on the cell or less. I need ideas on how to troubleshoot it.

Thanks

First test the connection between your transceiver and the OS2 using the OS2's built-in local echo service http://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot2/en ... calls.html
If you hear yourself back correctly, then test the connection between the OS2 and a server's local echo service. Some servers do provide an echo service, like REF001 module E.
