C4FM / DStar Crossmode Gateway

Post by km6jrn »

I am able to receive on my club repeater KC6ACS. I can crossmode transmit C4FM to DStar (verified by DStar Last Heard) but cannot be heard by others on the repeater. Am I missing something in my settings?

THANK YOU!!

You have an incorrectly recorded call sign.

WOW! Tell me it's no that simple. I should have double checked.
Waiting to test out once my friends wake up and jump on our repeater. I'll update everyone ASAP.

HA5OGR, I corrected my callsign and I am still not heard when transmitting. I see you were on our repeater [KC6ACS] last night, thank you. Can you review my settings again? (See photos).

I should add that I can RX and TX on reflectors. I did so on Reflector 12C. The problem seems to be isolated to TX on Gateways. I can hear anyone using my club repeater KC6ACS but I cannot be heard when I transmit. Hope this helps.

I think your setting looks good now provided you use a space character in the local module line. I don't see so much difference in your D-Star registration only that I have multiple terminal IDs registered.

Yes I do have the space character in the local module line.
What does it mean that I have multiple terminal IDs registered?

I have a Yaesu FT3D radio if that helps. What can I try next?? As I mentioned:

1. My openspot3 connects to my club repeater (KC6ACS).
2. openspot3 shows up on our (KC6ACS) DPLUS Dashboard Page.
3. I can receive calls.
4. When I transmit, I show up on DStar "Last Heard" website.
5. I can both Transmit and Receive on Reflectors. No problem with doing so.
6. The problem seems to be isolated to me being heard (transmitting) on Gateways even though I show up on "Last Heard" DStar page.
7. Again, I am trying to Crossmode C4FM to DStar.

Thank you!!

A suggestion, see what happens if you register an additional local module and then use that instead of the space character. I'm thinking that there are warnings about space triggering routing problems in DStar.

I don't know if that will work, but it must be worth a shot.

Thank you. I'll look into registering an additional module. I'm not sure how to do this....
