Good afternoon -

I'm having issues getting DMR to connect to the hotspot when I separate TX and RX frequencies (5 MHz separation). I am moving from using an MMDVM on a Raspberry Pi to the openSPOT4 Pro and the path of least resistance at least seemed to be to set the same color code and frequencies on the openSPOT 4 Pro so that I wouldn't need to modify my radios.

On the MMDVM/RPi, I'm using RX 440.660/TX 445.660 (DMR color code of 10) and it works with my DMR and my C4FM radios with no issue. I put those same frequencies into the openSPOT 4 Pro, and C4FM worked without issue with the modem set to YSFReflector - people could hear me and I could hear them. No change to the radio was needed; it worked with my old MMDVM/RPi, and since the used the same settings on the openSPOT 4 Pro, it worked there too.

Unfortunately, this was not the case with DMR. My DMR radio "cannot connect to hotspot" and on the openSPOT 4 Pro log, it actually spams a "dmrct: [0] cc mismatch (got 13 expected 10)" message, with the final message being "dmrct: [0] cc mismatch (got 0 expected 10)". I am certain that the radio is set to 10 as I am using the same programmed channel that had worked on the MMDVM/RPi. I am also certain that the openSPOT 4 Pro is configured to use color code 10. As a further test, I changed the frequency on the openSPOT 4 Pro to be 445.670 for both RX and TX, and changed the programmed channels to transmit and receive on that frequency with no other changes (including not changing the color code) - when I did this, DMR worked.

There at least seems to be an issue with DMR connecting when using different TX and RX frequencies, and the error message seems to indicate some sort of bug (I don't have ANY channels using color code 13 yet that is what the openSPOT 4 Pro error message claims that is is receiving; it also claims to receive a code of 0 as the last of the error messages).

Is this a known issue? Am I missing some obvious (or not obvious) thing here? I'd ideally like to be able to swap the openSPOT 4 Pro with my MMDVM/RPi without needing to have separate channels on each radio for each hotspot - I understand that I can only have one hotspot "active" (on) at a time when I do this, but I am fine with that.
