The OS2 successfully connected to the Server and Room.
The LED is steady Red when I transmit and then nothing.
HA2NON
Please verify the
openSPOT2's LED color
when you press PTT on your transceiver. It should be blinking green, not red when you press PTT.
The call log on your screenshot does not show any calls coming from your transceiver. Are you transmitting on the correct frequency and color code?
Rick71
When I push PTT the modem light stays green.
Local Echo/repeat seems to be working. When I connect to DMR I do get a voice announcement, but not when connecting to Fusion.
Rick71
When I push PTT the green light fades in/out. It does not blink rapidly.
HA2NON
If the LED does not blink green when you press PTT on your transceiver, then your transmission is not received by the OS2. Please check if you are transmitting on the correct frequency and color code.
Rick71
The transmit/frequency is correct. The color code for both channel and OS 2 is 1.
HA2NON
Do you mean that the green LED blinks when you transmit to ID 9999 (local echo service), but it does not blink green when you transmit to TG9?
Rick71
When I transmit to the local 9999 using TG9, the OS2 green light blinks rapidly and my voice plays back.
When I transmit to FCS Echo, after connecting to server/room, the green light does not blink rapidly, just the normal slow fade in/out.
HA2NON
I don't understand what do you mean by transmitting to "local 9999 using TG9". The local echo service works if the destination call ID is 9999 (no matter if it's a group or a private call). If you transmit to ID 9, the local echo service won't be triggered. You can transmit to ID 9 with a group call if you are connected to an FCS server's room 99, and the server will reply your call.
Rick71
Calling 9999 from the dialpad of the radio.
HA2NON
Ok so do you mean if you dial 9999 with the keypad, the OS2 LED is blinking green when you press PTT on the transceiver, but if you don't dial 9999 - without changing the channel or any other setting on the transceiver - the LED is not blinking green?
Rick71
When I call 9999, dialing from keypad, the green light blinks rapidly when I push PTT.
When I push PTT, on a programed channel and not changing channels or making any other changes, the green light blinks rapidly.
HA2NON
Please post a screenshot which shows the call log on the Status page while you are making a regular call to TG9 (while connected to FCS room 99).
Rick71
The 2 messages were before I pushed PTT. The OS2 didn't look like it was responding to the radio and I didn't hear the voice messages.
HA2NON
You wrote that the OS2's LED is blinking green when you press PTT. If this is the case, and you don't see any call log entries in the call log, then the OS2 can't decode your transceiver's transmission. Run DMR AutoCal or manually set the RX offset on the Modem page in +-100Hz steps for the lowest BER.
Rick71
With radio set to a TG9 channel, Connector set to FCS and Room set to Echo 99, the green light does NOT blink rapidly on the OS2 on PTT.
With radio set to TG9, connector set to DMR and Server set to US/3102 the green light blinks rapidly on PTT.
HA2NON
Make sure both RX and TX frequencies are set to the same value on the Modem page, and also in your transceiver. Run DMR AutoCal or manually set the RX offset on the Modem page in +-100Hz steps.
Rick71
Modem Page Modem Frequency is set to 446.460000. CPS shows the radio set to the same frequency RX and TX. Radio shows dame TX and RX frequency. I have run AutoCal several times.
HA2NON
Did AutoCal complete successfully?
If the green LED does not blink on the OS2 while you press PTT on your transceiver, and the OS2 is in DMR modem mode, then something is wrong with the transmission.
Rick71
The question is what's wrong with the transmission.
