Hello and good day.

I have a Yaesu FTM-300D. It works (TX and RX) with the Openspot4 Pro. My question is how do I change profiles (between any of the 10 available configured profiles) using the FTM-300? I also have a Yaesu FT3D and FT70, and I can change profiles using radio buttons.

Can some point me in the right direction? Tutorial? Youtube? etc? šŸ™‚

Thank you in advance!

As a follow-on - with the Yaesu FT3D, all I have to do is quick press the X button (when there is no conversation ongoing) and it puts me in Wires-X mode, ready to "search". And it works. But, pressing and holding the D X button on the FTM-300D just results in 2 quick beeps. Quick press on the D X button changes the mode (DN to FM, etc). Yaesu manual states you have to press and hold to get to Wires-X.

Thanks again.

Ok, got it to work. If all else fails, do a factory reset. I reset the FTM-300D radio, not the Openspot4. Not sure which setting was turned on/off when I did the reset, but it seems to have fixed my issue. I can now long press the D X button and it takes me to Wires-X.

Thank you for the response. I knew about the DTMF method of switching connectors/profiles, and have used it. But I was using/trying the Wires-X button method.

If you look/read the "Connectors" section of the online manual (eg. https://manuals.sharkrf.com/openspot4/en/ysfreflector-connector.html#page-top), there is a line that states "You can also use the Wires-XĀ® button menu of your radio to select/search for servers."

This was the problem I was having. The radio does not seem to want to connect to the openSPOT4 Pro using the Wires-X button.

In any case, I have it working now. For now. Take into account that I was only connecting to FCS, YSF, and DMR.

Sidenote: the openSPOT is a pleasure to use and I've recommended it to my friends. Specially with the SALE going on šŸ™‚

My FTM-300 will not connect to my Openspot4 when I long-press the D/X Wires button either. Are you saying all you did was hard reset the FTM and then it connected? Iā€™d have to save my configuration to an SD card before,I tried that but it seems like an odd fix. You changed nothing else?
    Thanks, Tom

ThomasJanke make sure you've done C4FM Half Deviation AutoCal on the OS4 (or manually adjust the RX offset for the lowest BER, test with the built-in local echo).
