Problem connecting with TGIF / Brandmeister password issues?

I just received my Openspot 4 PRO and can't seem to get the connect to Brandmeister and then to TGIF without constantly having to change the passwords back and forth in the Connector! Shouldn't there be one connector for Brandmeister and a separate one for TGIF?

Anyway I trie to make it work using a separate profile with limited success, have my Anytone 878UVii plus on channel 9 but radio defaults to channel 1 so it never connects to Free Speech 2021 (TGIF).

Please Help.

The same Homebrew/MMDVM connector can be used to connect to BM and other DMR servers. You can set up 2 configuration profiles, one for BM and one for TGIF and switch between them (you can use both the web interface and your transceiver to switch between them).

You need to set up the TX contact in your transceiver's current channel to the TG you want to talk and hear (2021), or you can use call rerouting.

Hello HA2NON,

No matter what I do I CANNOT seem to Connect to TGIF FreeSpeech 2021!
Set up a 2nd profile and no matter what I do it doesn't connect!
Also the group that coming up for FREE SPEECH is some other group ( Περιοχή 1 Εθνική (2021) looks like greek letters!
So I may have a defective OPENSPOT 4 PRO!
I've spent MANY HOURS trying to make it work, READY to just get an RMA and send it back, OS4 PRO was supposed to be much easier than PI-star but its NOT working for me Please help.
Also I keep getting OPEN SPOT disconnected messages! (every minute).

You can switch to the TGIF talkgroup list on the Settings page, DMR settings section. By default the openSPOT4 uses the BrandMeister talkgroup list, which probably has a greek name for TG2021.

We see on your screenshot that your openSPOT4 is connected to tgif.network (Status is connected, server address is tgif.network).

Please explain what is the exact issue you have. Do you mean that others don't hear you on TG2021? Do you hear back yourself correctly using the OS4's built-in local echo service?

HA2NON Thank you so much for all your help. I did more tests yesterday and I was able to connect and talk on the group but it seems to disconnect every minute or two when you don't hear activity on the TG. I 'm using the call rerouting function. Is there any way to stop the disconnections and reconnections?

homebrew: rx timeout log lines indicate that the server did not send a keepalive reply (indicated by pong received lines) after the openSPOT's keepalive request (indicated by ping sent lines) in RX timeout seconds, so the openSPOT detected that the connection is broken and reinitialized the connection. I think your router is stopping UDP NAT after a while, but try using different servers like BrandMeister and see if this happens also with them.
