At first, I couldn’t find the nodes. Yesterday there was very limited on the list but today when I checked all the nodes seem to be showing up in the list so disregard me asking for help

You don't have to have a node to use AllStarLink with the M1KE. Make sure your M1KE is running the latest beta firmware (currently v24) to have AllStarLink functionality.

HA2NON I am currently on v26 and cannot connect when I select ptt. (AllStatLink) I have connected when I open ASL. What am I missing? Steve ke4qbh

Thanks HA2NON. Downloaded v24 and found All Star link. I know that I do not need to have a node, but I have nodes for hk3dc and kd2alv and would like to configure them to M1KE. How can I do that? The reason is that when I go to my favorite nodes on AllStar like DoDropIn or East Coast Reflector or Freestar I get a warning that I am not authenticated and therefore am not linked.

I must be dong something wrong. I have allstarlink node on VM. i put IP, port and node number and nothing happens. I am a newbie to allstarlink. i only installed it so i can bridge it to SVX link.

Make sure your VM's firewall forwards UDP packets on port 4569 to the VM.

HA2NON ok so I'm not sore I get it. Is it possible to connect M1KE to an Allstarlink sitting on VM? My friend was able to link to my mode no issues, when I set M1KE to connect to it it is not happening. I have IP address of my VM, port and node number. What do I not get here? I must be missing some knowledge of how it works.

I'm on firmware v21 and there's no v24 available at all, as far as I can tell. Where are you all getting that update?

n6qxa check beta version in settings. Otherwise only stable version is available for download upgrade.

w9gil If your VM is running on your local network then you have to use the local network IP address of your VM to connect it (or configure hairpin NAT on the router).

HA2NON It is a VM on an outside sever. I also still don't see any server in the menu so I will give it a time as other reported it took "a minute" to show up. I will play around and come back with more questions if needed. thank you for the help so far.
